Slipping Sand
Slipping Sand, choreographed and performed by Katerina Wong in collaboration with cinematographer Dennis Zollo, is a close examination of human’s relentless relationship to time.
Encased in a glass atrium, surrounded by hourglasses, a single dancer contemplates the desire to manipulate time, acknowledges her powerlessness, and inches towards acceptance. Premiered as a part of RAWdance’s the CONCEPT series: Digital Edition 2. Screened at San Francisco Dance Film Festival and Boulder Ballet’s BB Dance Film Fest.
