Step/Song/Story
Conceived, curated, and choreographed by Katerina Wong, Step/Song/Story was a live, collaborative storytelling event that brought together Bay Area-based dancers, musicians, and text-based artists for a public cross-disciplinary performance. From September-November of 2022, TJPA’s Salesforce Park came alive with a mix of different contributors alongside RAWdance to celebrate the transformative power of creative conversation.
Step/Song/Story was presented by RAWdance in partnership with the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, owner and operator of the Salesforce Transit Center and Rooftop Park. Step/Song/Story performances were 30 min performances, free to the public and took place twice a day in the Main Plaza of TJPA’s Salesforce Park. These shows featured 8 dance artists, 4 musicians, and 10 text-based artists in 3 distinct programs spanning genres and generations.
